Continental Armory offers firearm transfer services in compliance with Pennsylvania State and Federal law, along with our specific policies. Please read the following carefully to ensure a smooth transfer process.
Transfer Methods
We accept transfers via USPS, UPS, and FEDEX Express.
Note: We advise against using FEDEX Ground due to potential delivery delays in our area. If delays occur, this may result in multiple delivery attempts.
Incoming Transfers from an FFL Dealer
Fees:
$30 per firearm.
$100 per NFA item.
Requirements:
Transfers are only accepted from FFL Dealers; we do not accept mailed transfers from individuals.
Customer name MUST match the contact information on the Invoice.
Do not attempt to purchase or receive a firearm for someone else; it will be returned or forfeited at the customers expense!
The firearm must comply with Pennsylvania and Federal laws.
Include the following with your shipment:
A copy of the Transferor’s FFL.
The name and phone number of the recipient, matching the details on the Request to Transfer form.
Process:
We will notify you by phone when your firearm is ready for pickup (usually same day, but occasionally up to 48 hours processing time).
Firearms must be picked up within 30 days of notification.
Storage Fees: After 30 days, a $10/day fee will apply.
Abandonment: After 90 days, unclaimed firearms will be absorbed into store stock with no compensation to the customer.
Non-Compliant Firearms will be returned to the transferring FFL at the customer's expense.
If Denied or customer does not have adequate identification during pickup, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs and the initial transfer fee. The issue must be resolved or the firearm returned within 30 days, or it will be absorbed into store stock after 90 days.
By shipping a firearm to Continental Armory, you agree to these terms.
Outgoing Transfers (Shipping Firearms)
Flat Fee:
$30 per firearm (already boxed) + actual shipping and insurance costs.
$50 per firearm (requires packaging) + actual shipping and insurance costs.
$100 per NFA item (Form3) + actual shipping and insurance costs.
Requirements:
Provide a valid identification with current address listed.
Provide contact information for the receiving FFL Dealer and the recipient.
Shipping Policy:
All shipments must include tracking and require an adult signature.
The customer is responsible for ensuring compliance with the laws of the destination state.
Continental Armory is not liable for any issues once packages have been picked up by the carrier.
Continental Armory is not liable for any issues with firearm noncompliance in the destination state.
Person-to-Person Transfers
Fee:
$30 per firearm
Requirements:
Both parties must be present with valid identification with current addresses listed.
